Rick is a 30+ year veteran of the banking industry. He began his career in 1985 and most recently, joined the bank in October 2010 to serve as President in the Austin, Minnesota market before moving to Waterloo in 2013. Rick has a degree in Economics from Grinnell College, is a graduate of the IA Commercial Lending School, and a graduate of the Blandin Foundation’s Leadership in Ethnically Diverse Communities program. Rick is a member of the downtown Waterloo Rotary Club, a board member for the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, serves on the City of Waterloo Highway 218 Design Commission, and is on the Greater Cedar Valley Chamber and Alliance Investor Relations Committee. His tremendous knowledge of banking and financial solutions, along with his commitment to his clients, make him a highly regarded professional.

Alex Demkiw comes to Community Bank & Trust with over 15 years of banking combined with both retail and commercial experience. Alex was most recently the VP of Business Development and Regional Manager for Town and Country Credit Union in Fargo, North Dakota. Originally from Detroit, Alex graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Marketing. Alex is happy to now call Cedar Falls his home with his wife and four young children.

A resident of the Cedar Valley since 1996, Brian joins our team with over 7 years of banking experience combined with retail and business banking. Born in Fort Dodge, Brian is married with three kids and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's in Economics. He comes to us from Wells Fargo in Cedar Falls previously as the Business Relationship Manager. Brian's grasp of banking and financial solutions, along with his meticulous attention to client service, make him a valued and trusted banker to his clients and the bank.
